RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Use case for Fan:ZoneExhaust

If you look at the Ventilation Simple Meter Details file you will see:

 For Meter=Fans:Electricity [J], ResourceType=Electricity, EndUse=Fans, contents are:
ZONE 1:Zone Ventilation Fan Electric Consumption
ZONE 2:Zone Ventilation Fan Electric Consumption
ZONE 3:Zone Ventilation Fan Electric Consumption

This is actually the easiest solution it seems to model direct ventilation. What is the system energy effect though? It doesn?t seem that the fans are part of the reports, however there is fan energy. Can you meter the ZoneVentilation object for fan electrical use?

That would be most easily done with ZoneVentilation:DesignFlowRate.   See VentilationSimpleTest.idf, the object named ?ZONE 3 Ventl 1?
