You need to know at least 2 things. 1. The moisture generation rate of the misting process (G) and 2. The effectiveness of the evacuation (E). Assuming the fan does actually exhaust everything it intakes, you have a G*E moisture generating device which can be modeled with a latent only steam generator. Much more complicated is the heat production. The fan generates heat, the pump generates heat, the work process generates heat, and the machines don’t run 24/7. Also don’t forget that the exhaust must have some makeup from somewhere. Ned Lyon, P.E. (MA) SIMPSON GUMPERTZ & HEGER From: EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of smurfy33.skku I am working on modeling "mist collector" in EnergyPlus and now run into a problem that needs your help. Note that I am a beginner of EnergyPlus and lack of knowedge in EnergyPlus.
