[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: total gains.!



Ask for the output variable: "Surface Int Convection Heat Rate" This is for every surface, opaque (normally walls and maybe, doors) and transparent (normally windows and sometimes glass doors).  

In addition to the above, transparent surfaces also transmit radiation. Ask for the output variable: "Window Heat Gain" and "Window Heat Loss". The sum of all the Heat Gain/Loss for all windows should is equal to the value given by the output variable "Zone Window Heat Gain/Loss"

i use new columns in the spreadhseet for summing and get percentages. 

i have used the wild key * in the Key Value field of the Output variable object. For models with more zones, i have used the Zone name in the Key Value field. In this case, the values for the other zones are not shown. 

If you want different CSV for different time aggregates (hourly, daily, monthly etc) use the RVI as shown, by way of example, in the AdvancedOutput subfolder of the ExampleFiles folder
