[EnergyPlus_Support] Customized Weather File

Dear Eplus users,

I am curious to know what fields in the weather file are mandatory for a simulation to run. Is there a bare minimum of parameters that are required from the weather file for Energyplus to run a rudimentary simulation. I.e 

1) Can I do without the Extraterrestrial Horizontal, Normal and Infrared Radiation parameters, total sky cover, opaque sky cover? Can I set them all to Zero?  

2) Secondly, by setting those parameters to Zero, will it severely affect the heat loss from the building at night, while using the Conduction Finite Difference algorithm?

The reason I ask these questions because I would like to model the same building with PCM in Abaqus. In order to compare the results I would like to create a very rudimentary weather file that I can input manually in Abaqus as well. Any help will be deeply appreciated.
