[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Help needed with zoning

Sharing some experience:

If your building is far away from the equator, the altitude of the sun would be low. For a rectangular building with the longer sides facing north and south, separate North and South zones make sense.

For commercial buildings with a core, a Center zone has been used.

A vertical shaft can serve to house the ducts for supply air to the 3 floors and also act as the path for the return air. The AHU is at the top of the building.

As given on the design drawings there's an outdoor air unit designed to serve multiple premises situated on all three floors of the building.I know that outdoor air units can serve only one zone, so the first thing that comes to my mind is to simply add all the premises that are served by the same outdoor air unit to one zone. But can I have a zone that includes premises on different floors? Wouldn't it reflect on the floor area at least? Or can I model this system as three separate ones for each floor? I've found some older posts on a similar topic, advising to model one system and then use ZoneCrossMixing, but this would work only between two zones. In my case there would be three.
