Dear all,
I'm struggling with the problem of automatically finding good positions
for the reference points needed in order to play with day-lighting,
maybe you have a different/simpler solution for this...
So, briefly, the FenestrationSurface (window) is "part of" a
BuildingSurface (wall), that is "part of" a Zone. I'm constraining my
model such that each Zone is equivalent to a room, as my rooms are not
necessarily homogeneous. In this case, I'd say a good position for a
day-lighting reference point is the center of the area of this given
room. Then, for the moment, the only way I see to automatically
calculate this reference point is to take the center out of the polygon
defined by the walls.
But maybe there is a much simpler solution that I can't "see", given
that I'm very much a newbie w.r.t. E+. Would you have any hint on this?
Thanks in advance,
Álvaro.
