RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Re: How do you output the average PMV?

The fourth field in Output:Variable allows the user to input the schedule name of the period of interest. So, for this case, I would just define the Output:Variable object with “monthly” frequency and “Office Occupancy schedule” (say) as the schedule name.

I think this is the best way to address this issue.

You can have a CSV file, "output reporting, outputcontrol: table style: comma" after you can open your the file in Excel. I used another method, you take your file *.txt, you open it as excel file, and after you can choose the separator and the format.

Let me know if you have questions.

Oscar.

Thanks,Oscar and Brent!

I'm reporting the energy performance of an existing appartmenthouse with several zones. For the thermal comfort, I think the monthly average PMV is a good method.

As you all mentioned, the PMV works only when the zone is occupied. So til now as I tried, the best way to obtain it, is the Output:Table:Summary Reports:Occupant Comfort Data Summary Monthly.

Does somebody know, how can I change the data from the Table to an Excel data? Thank you!

Amy
