Is not that what you wanted by using insulation on the ceiling? to minimize the heat transfer across the ceiling in Winter.
Houses in Canada usually has ceiling insulation of R24 or more. The attic space itself is vented to the outside air. If your ceiling constructin is not for heat isolation, then the temperature difference would be low. Hy,
I have a other problems. My house has two zones. (RDC and the attic) When i change the thickness of isolation under the roof, I have a different temprature in the attic zones, but there are no difference in RDC zones. And it is like that when i use a cold weather or a hot wheather. More, the température of floor in attic zone is ten more deggree than ceiling of rdc zones in summer, and the floor in attic zone is ten less deggres than the ceiling of rdc zones in winter. I guest there is not transfert between both zones. Can you explain me that, please.
