Thanks for your suggestions.
1. Cannot do this because the zone is heated by another source, so it would affect that system operation also.
2. Can do this, but the zones are internal loads dominated, so I don't think it will easy to anticipate when it would require heating/cooling.
3. The Coil:Cooling:WaterToAirHeatPump object cannot take a zero for capacity, but can take extremely low values higher than 0. But when I do this, E+ generated a warning message saying heating and cooling capacities differ by more than 20%. Is that not very siginficant, I hope it wouldn't affect the cooling performance of the heat pump.

1. Lowering the heating setpoint so heating never comes on?
2. Making the heat pump operation unavailable in the heating season via an availability schedule?
3. Setting the heating coil capacity at 0?

Does anyone know of a way to deactivate the heating mode heat pump coil alone and keep cooling only?
