[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Meaning of SummerDesignDay

SummerDesignDay is normally the day with extreme hot temperatures. The degree of extremity is given, by ASHRAE, as the % of time that these temperatures are exceeded, on average in a year. For example, temperatures that are exceeded, on average 0.4% (35 hours) in a year. 

The default for the outdoor temperature to be minimum, at say 5 am and maximum at say 3pm. User can also change this profile.  Other outdoor conditions like humidity, sky clearness, rain or snow indicators can be entered into the other fields of this object.

Special days are separated by spaces in the For: field of the Schedule:Compact object. In your case, the schedule applies to Weekdays and SummerDesignDay
