[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Modelling Vents in naturally ventilated buildings

Juaneco_2710,

I would go for the AirFlow Network model. See Group - Airflow Network in the Input/Output documentation.
I find "CIBSE AM10 - Natural ventilation in non-domestic buildings", a good reference for natural ventilation, common value used for discharge coefficients is 0.61, but this would imply you have the effective area opening of the vents (from manufacturer). For estimation of wind pressure coefficients you can refer to CIBSE AM10 as well.
Also, if you can use Design Builder, this has a feature do automatically place vents, it will assume some of this values, and wind pressure coefficients are based on the following document. http://www.designbuilder.co.uk/downloadsv1/AIVCWindPressureCoefficientData.pdf

I woud like to know what is the correct way to model these vents: what kind of object to create, what are the correct coefficients (e.g. discharge coefficient) and so on.
