[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Easy question - Very thick massive external floor



You are right. I have thought about it. It would take account for ground heat transfer and radiation exchange between...but actually it won't solve my massive construction problem for the ceiling of the basement (floor of the facility). The U-value of this construction is actually so large that I doubt any outside surface temperature from 0 to 30 deg C would result in much heat exchange. The effect is more like a capacitive source sink. I was thinking that in reallity the core temperature would not vary by much after converging, somewhere between the yearly ave air temp, ground temp and the (close to inside) heating copper pipes of the floor heating (32 to 21 deg). I am slowly converging on the otherside coeff approach, but am open to ideas.
