Peak hours and Peak Days means your system (air side and water side) would be working at full capacity (unless you dont oversized them). Temperature reset strategy is a part load efficiency strategy and used to reduce energy consumption at part loads (for air side when outside air temperature = design air temperature, for chiller - reset water temperature reduces pump energy by reducing flow at each coils in proportion to load at each zones)I am not familiar with Energy Plus, so i am not quite sure how to create a reset schedule. Thanks,Pregas SrinivasanOn Sat, Dec 24, 2011 at 12:07 PM, Amruta Khanolkar <askhanol@xxxxxxx> wrote:
Hi All,
I am trying to reset Supply air temperature and Chilled water
temperature only for peak hours in peak days (4-5 days not the entire
year) in an Energy Plus model. For supply air temperature reset
strategy I added a new schedule at "schedule:compact" and assigned it
to :SetpointManager:Scheduled" where the previous schedule was
assigned. But finally I did not see any cooling reduction.
Am I missing something? Can you please tell me where and how should I do this?
Thank you for your help,
Amruta
