[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Inconsistency in E+ results between a chiller-tower and an air cooled chiller



Well,how are you comparing the chillers?
I mean which chiller model are you using?The chillers for water cooled
systems are more efficient than the chillers for air cooled systems.So
you have to model two different chillers,each one for each type of
system.
You can look in the download area for an spreadsheet that I have
created for modeling chillers from the manufacturer data.
Usually,the efficiency of the water chiller is higher than the air
chiller so you only reduce your energy usage when the system is enough
big because you have to add extra system like the tower fan and
condenser loop pump.
I hope it can help you to analyze better your situation.
