Sure it can do single sided. Just not with one of the Cal simplified models. Use airflow network. You'll need to define an outside pressure node at each opening in the side.
Would someone with experience modeling natural ventilation systems in E+ confirm/correct and elaborate on the following statement?
Based on available literature, it appears that E+ cannot effectively model single-sided natural ventilation systems even when multiple and/or large openings are used.
If true, what methods have others tried in an effort to approximate single-sided NV conditions? My scenario is dependent on a single-sided natural ventilation system however, I could modify it in such a way to provide cross ventilation if there is not a way around this limitation.
