Perhaps I am revealing my ignorance here, hopefully to be enlightened.
I am modelling an AirflowNetwork with openable windows on a temperature control scheme. Loking at the Ideal Loads Total Heating and Cooling Energy, per timestep, I find that both are non-zero during some timesteps.
Why is this ? Is the Ideal Loads HVAC really heating and cooling the air at the same time ?
Here is a snippet of the output
OAT, Zone Temp,Thermo Htg Sp,Thermo Clg Sp,IL Htg Energy, IL Clg Energy
7.2, 21, 21, 24, 1913927, 4868
Both heating and cooling loads are shown over the following hour or so, as the zone temperature remains at 21C. What am i missing here ?
Timestep is 6mins.
Tom
