Hi, does anyone have experience with using the BASEMENT preprocessor in energyplus simulations?
I am working on calibrating a model to measured data. It is a single family dwelling, with a basement that is insulated on the interior side of the foundation wall.
BASEMENT is over predicting the exterior foundation temperature by a lot (compared to the measured foundation temperatures that I have). I have noticed that there appears to be no way to input interior foundation insulation into the BASEMENT idf lines. And as far as I can tell BASEMENT runs independently of EnergyPlus, therefore it does not know that I have specified interior foundation insulation in the EnergyPlus idf.
Just wondering if my above assumptions are correct (about the interior insulation causing the inaccuracy), and if so, has anyone developed any "work arounds" for this issue?
