[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: About SizingPeriod:DesignDay

'run the simulation for October' implies that the simulation uses the data in the EnergyPlus weather (.epw) file for the outdoor environment. If this is what you want, then you need to set the 'Run Simulation for Weather File Run Periods' field in the SimulationControl object to Yes.

'Using design day of 21 June' implies that the simulation uses the data in the fields of the SizingPeriod:DesignDay object as the outdoor environment. If this is what you want, then you need to set the 'Run Simulation for Sizing Periods' field in the SimulationControl object to Yes.

The results for both Simulation Controls are in the same csv. You can easily determine which rows of the csv are the results for each case.
