Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Is there any way to simplify DX Unit Model?

In addition, E+ V7 comes up with a curve fit tool which generates Capacity and EIR biquadratic curves using manufacturer's catalog data. The coefficients are output such that you can directly copy and paste them in the IDF.

C:\EnergyPlusV7-0-0\PreProcess\HVACCurveFitTool

Also, DXCoolingCoil.idf in the DataSets folder contains limited data sets for single speed DX cooling coil.

Hope this helps.

Dear Ke,

Consider using the curves from an example file that is similar to your project.  They are reasonable representation of many coils.

Also, on the Help Desk Web site in the Downloads section (http://energyplus.helpserve.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=view), you will find a helpful Excel spreadsheet for creating bi-quadratic curves called “Creating a BQuadraticCurve using LINEST”.
