[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: old version
Hello!
Thank you very much for your suggestions.
The present version of DesignBuilder does not model PV and solar thermal collectors. Maybe the future version 3.1 will do it.
See:
http://www.designbuilder.co.uk/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,25/page,viewtopic/t,2814/highlight,solar+collector/
and
http://www.designbuilder.co.uk/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,25/page,viewtopic/t,1251/start,0/postdays,0/postorder,asc/highlight,solar%2Bthermal/
Therefore after adding those systems in EnergyPlus the .idf file will be no more usable in DesignBuilder.
After I read your answers, I think that I have 2 alternative possibilities:
1. I upload DB v3.0.0.105 and then I export directly to EnergyPlus v7 (but my file was already created in DB 3.0.0.064)
2. I convert the .idf file from version 6.0.0.023. to 7.0.0.036
I am going to try in the next days. What is the best solution in your opinion? And the solution with which conversion errors are less probable?
Best regards
Francesco Passerini
