RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Preconditioning Air to FCU

There’s not really much difference thermodynamically, Luke.

You’ve got me thinking, though.  I wonder if you can connect the DOAS outlet via splitter to the Fan coil OA inlet?  Have you looked for any example files which do this?

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Preconditioning Air to FCU

All,

I'm working with dedicated outside air unit providing preconditioned air to fan coil units in multiple spaces. I noticed the DOAS with FCU template has a line for how to input the air, but the only option is direct to zone, and not into the unit.

Does anyone know how or if it is possible to put a DOAS in series with a fan coil in order to provide preconditioned outside air to a unit in the space?

Many thanks,

Luke
