Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] P or PI control
PID control is nothing more than a calculated response to an input
signal over time. If you set up a fixed time step, the easy way that
removes time from the equations, or even if using a variable time step
with more detailed programming, I am certain the EMS program could
provide the PID algorithm outputs.
Although I agree with Mr. Dirkes, where I'm not sure what benefit will
result, feel free to give this a try to see if EMS based PID control
leads to some alternate optimization technique. The worst case scenario
would be to prove that it does not benefit energy modeling. The best
case scenario......a new form of optimization.
