Hello.
I am
a beginner in using EnergyPlus. I created a model in DesignBuilder and I
exported the .idf file in EnergyPlus. I attach the file.
I have
the following error:
**
Severe ** Plant temperatures are getting
far too hot, check controls and relative loads and capacities
**
~~~ ** Environment=SPINIGARDOLO, at Simulation
time=09/08 08:00 - 08:30
**
~~~ ** PlantLoop Name
(SupplySide)= HW LOOP
**
~~~ ** PlantLoop Setpoint
Temperature=14.0 {C}
**
~~~ ** PlantLoop Inlet Node
(SupplySide) does not have a Setpoint.
**
~~~ ** PlantLoop Inlet Node
(DemandSide) does not have a Setpoint.
**
~~~ ** PlantLoop Outlet Node
(SupplySide) has a Setpoint.
**
~~~ ** PlantLoop Outlet Node
(DemandSide) does not have a Setpoint.
**
~~~ ** PlantLoop Outlet Node
(SupplySide) "HW LOOP SUPPLY SIDE OUTLET" has temperature=299.9 {C}
**
~~~ ** PlantLoop Inlet Node (SupplySide) "HW LOOP SUPPLY
SIDE INLET" has temperature=299.9 {C}
(..)
** Fatal
** CheckForRunawayPlantTemps: Simulation terminated because of run away
plant temperatures, too hot
I
think that finding an overheating within the HW LOOP in September is
strange, because in that period the HW
LOOP should not work (see PlantEquipmentOperationSchemes: as â??Control Scheme 1
Scheduleâ?? I imposed â??winterâ??, which is on only during the winter season).
During the summer season I imposed a low PlantLoop Setpoint Temperature (14.0 °C)
because the HW system should not work. Is it sensible?
I tried to solve the error changing the schedule in
â??SetpointManager:Scheduledâ?? (s.
â??winter65â??), but without success.
In the discussion
I read about a similar problem in another model.
In that case the problem was the HeaderedPumps object, but in my model there
isnâ??t any HeaderedPumps object.
As that discussion suggested, I added
Output:Variable,HW Loop Demand Side Bypass Pipe
Inlet Node,System Node Temp
but with that object the simulation crashed
without providing fatal error message.
In the HVAC loop in correspondence of the boiler
there is a bypass. How can I determine how much water flow flows through the
bypass?
Thank
you for your attention!
Best
