RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Windows position and Transmitted Solar

Fenestration sub-surfaces can be out of plane with respect to the surrounding base surface.  You can control the window reveal by setting the vertices to move the window inward.  The solar models do include the shading caused by the surrounding base surface.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Windows position and Transmitted Solar

Dear all,

Im looking the in influence of the position of the windows along the wall (from interior face to exterior face).

The WindowProperty:FrameAndDivider object have fields to set this parameter (Inside Sill Depth (m) & Inside Reveal Depth (m)) but I dont see any influence on on the Zone Transmitted Solar result.

Does the shadow created by the wall considered in the calculi of the windows transmitted solar? Is it possible to see this influence?

Thanks you very much.
Florian
