Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] CTF vs. CFD Radiant - (PCM Compatable?)





For some reason the group is rejecting some of my attachments. 

I have attached my base radiant model.  It is currently set for a CTF algorithm under V7.  I just finished updating to V7.1 and still have significant disparity between the CTF and a CFD run seen most drastically visible in the summer operative temperature and related cooling energy.  Another issue I have come across is that the ESO viewer does not seem to be cooperating with the update.  It will open but remains minimized in my task bar.  

In terms of the PCM I have been working with an engineer at PureTemp who has provided me with the enthalpy/Specific Heat curves for a few of their products.  I was intending to test the provided data with melting points at 20C 23C 25C and 28C.

This should be entirely possible useing an internal source sink layer construction.  May I ask what PCM you are using? If it helps I have been researching PCM modeling in E+ for some time and have DSC data and example files I could send you, or would be happy to take a look at your file.

First, I suggest you upgrade to V7.1
