For exterior buildings, hills etc component blocks can be created to account for them.

Design Bulider takes count of exterior buildings???? and if you building has a complex geometrie its works well also? Can you change the turbulence model ???

Design builder currently has the capacity to produce CFD analysis of
air flow networks and the openings with presure velocity for internal
CFD and velocity and pressure for weather and external condishions.
The Input for external CFD is just the weather file and the geomitry,
the inputs for internal are to place vents and/or operable windows
where indicated by external CFD ( or wherever you choose ) then run
the simulation with " store openings" checked, then use the import
Energy Plus results into CFD for either an hour or sub- hourly period.
The resulting CFD indicates air vilocity, air pressure, air
temperature, operative temperature, radient temperature, Perdicted
mean vote, and Perdicted percent dissatisfied. Aside from CFD, when
using both scheduled and calculated natural ventalation design builder
can show graphics of air changes, and when exporting IDF full air
flow networks are configured. So the brunt of the inputs are simple
and geometry based~ it is the simplest to use method I have found for
natural ventalation due to the minimal inputs required.
