RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Set simulation's year

The following is a line in the Chicago weather file epw:-

       DATA PERIODS,1,1,Data,Sunday, 1/ 1,12/31

This line set the first day of the year to Sunday.  I believe that it can be changed.  But it is not that important, as the weather data  are not for the current year.

Notice that this data line does not have a year value.  TMY, Typical Meteorological Year, applies to all years.

The year field in the EPW is not used.  The year value was there to show you which monthly data was used to make up the  (TMY) EPW.   Day 01 is Sunday, therefore day 08 is also Sunday.  Including the following in the IDF will display the day Type  used for simulation.

Output:Variable,*,DayType Index,hourly;

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Set simulation's year

Hi all,

I am currently working on a simulation with a weather file from 2011/01/01 to 2011/12/31.

I set a schedule:compact like that:

testDimanche
Temperature
Through: 12/31
For: Sunday
Until: 24:00
15
For: AllOtherDays
Until: 24:00
20

WhenI run the simulation, the 'testDimanche' variable is shifted by one day. For example, testDimanche equals 15 for the 2011/01/09 (a sunday), but equals 20 for the 2011/01/08 (saturday in 2011, however 2012/01/08 is a sunday).

It looks like EP doesn't consider the weather file year, and use the current year instead.

How can I fix it?

Thanks,
