Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] wind pressure coefficient array values

Yes, CFD is needed to get Cp array values. If you ask E+ to calculate Cp for a rectangular building, then they remain constant either if you have many buildings/obstructions surrounding your building OR if you have an alone standing building. So from this, I understood that - for a complex geometry or when having surrounding obstructions, Cp values from CFD has to be brought in E+. I guess, wind tunnel should also be another option (for better results, but you might not want to do it).

Hi All,

Forgive me if this has been covered, but I find nothing after a quick search of the forum.

I am interested how people go about getting the INPUT data for the wind pressure coefficient array values.

For a non-rectangular geomtery building, all other settings at their most complicated. Do I need to solve a CFD problem to get the numbers ?

Thanks

Tom
