[EnergyPlus_Support] qualitative visual comfort and light/temperature

Hi all,

I'm playing around with electrochromic windows and am studying the impact EC glass has on various building types. For residential buildings, I am interested in how and what to measure to see if EC is better qualitatively than LoE windows. I want to convince homeowners that EC glass is "better" than static windows. For this project, I am not concerned with energy savings, rather with the increased "quality" that EC brings to home living.

Right now I set up an illuminance map to show the lux difference in a room, glare sensors to show glare reduction achieved, and ASHRAE 55 for thermal comfort in the room, but I'm not sure if that is all I can do in energyplus and if this is the best way to show my results.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Kamil
