What are the definitions of "Thermal Efficiency" and "Recovery Efficiency" for water heaters?
In my model I used a WaterHeater:Mixed and Thermal efficiency results equal to 0,88 while Recovery Efficiency results equal to 0,15. I simulated also the example file WaterHeaterDHWPlantLoop.idf , where the water heater is modelled as WaterHeater:Stratified. In that case Thermal efficiency results equal to 0,98 while Recovery Efficiency results equal to 0,97, therefore in that case the difference between the two efficiencies is much smaller. So I wonder why in my simulation such a difference exists (some error?).
