Not long agao another user asked a similar question. He wanted to add some heat load into a zone and found that the reported heat gain did not follow the value entered in the activity level schedule.
I look at his simulation result at the time step level, and found that there were five components listed. The radiant and the comvection components summed to the sensible heat gain. The latent and the sensible component summed to the total. The total is equal to the activity level entered in the schedule. This seams to agree with your finding. Sensible heat value is part of the total, and is adjusted with the latant heat which is humidity and temperature dependent. At 22°C thrre would be less sweating and therefore less latent heat gain and higher sensible heat gain. Does this agree with your finding? Sweating, skin temperature, clothing cover, etc. are some of the variables in the Fenger comfort and activity heat formulae. Dear All,
I have a simulation zone performed twice, once where the HVAC thermostat setpoint is 22deg and the other is 25deg. May I know why are the PEOPLE SENSIBLE HEAT ADDITITION (GJ) different under the Annual Building Sensible Heat Gain Components different? Furtherdown in the HTML tables, the PEOPLE TOTAL HEAT GAIN [kWh] under the Space Gain Monthly for both 22deg and 25deg are the same though. Do they represent different things? Can someone please explain to me. Thanks for any clarification. Best Regards, Poh Khai
