Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Drawing arquitecture

Hi,

1. First of all Thermal zoning is different from Architectural Zoning so for Energy modeling there are some standard guideline on how to do optimized Thermal zoning. For this please check this link:   http://www.bembook.ibpsa.us/index.php?title=Thermal_Zoning_Determination

2. You don't need to create multi level space for modeling elevator... Usually i model it as a process equipment load and here is the approach..create a zone, define proper power rating with operating schedule in exterior equipment object.

Hope this helps!

Good day,

i have some doubts about how to model the drawing plans for LEED,i need to consider every detailed of drawings like the spaces for ductwork that is between restroom and office, it take some area and i dont know if it is necessary to model as a nonconditiones space with non occupied zone, or can i avoid to draw every of this areas and assume that it is small and consider this zone like the side area.
this is because i will need to set every area of each space when i will submit it for LEED revision.

Also how i need to model an elevator, it will take an area, so, i need to model one and consider a hole in all of the rest of the building and set up it as a one space (with a long height) and then set its load gain.

thank you
