This is follow up of the previous mail. The attached figure is in the Engineering Reference Manual of EPlus. It looks simple, but the coefficients are not easy to determine.

The problem in doing the EcoRoof simulation is given as well in the manual. The basic mathematic model is given in the manual, with a list of references.

If you are asking the way to enter the building geometry using GUI software, OpenStudio as a Google SketchUp plug-in will do that. OpenStudio can import and export EPlus IDF files.

DesignBuilder can export IDF, but will not inport IDF.

Thermal characteristic are in the Material and Construction listings. In simulation, the important factors are heat transfer by conduction or radiation. Any facade can be simplified to a window and wall with shades.
