Dear Linda,
I hope that EP v7.2 has a capability for “writing-a-note” function inside EP Editor, like MS word.
Users can copy and paste images and write down their thoughts to the IDF for better reading; hence
- they can reconstruct/recall what he/she did on IDFs before,
- make a note of some important things for simulation thus keeps their memory alive,
- and so on.

We expect an on-time official release on Oct 15. We may have installers ready earlier for those who want to try them. At this point, the core EnergyPlus and documentation are locked down, so it would be relatively minor things/typos that would be changed from the early release to the final. (And, of course, we'd like you to register for the final even if you don't download and install that final installer).
We have had an active beta area going since the last release. Though there haven't been as many problems surface for this upcoming release as there were for the V7.1 release (back in May).

c) you can convert any files to the later version using the update conversion program:
