RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Issues simulating a hotel located in Colombia

Climate Consultant is good, but I am using Hands Down Software (www.handsdownsoftware.com) I think the reason I chose their software was the ability to import non-TMY data sets and display in custom-defined bins (similar to what I used for the Bogota weather)

You can serve this psychrometric chart software.

Perhaps you should review the internal loads and their schedules; a guest room is not occupied very many hours and so its schedule should reflect that with a low fraction of use during many hours each day.

It certainly never gets very warm, but also is not very cold (rarely below 5C). Also, the EnergyPlus statistical file for Bogotas weather confirms ms the 3C classification.

I don't understand the results that I get for district cooling (197 GJ) and district heating (68 GJ) at the tables, because Bogota is a cold city with a range of temperatures between 5C and 15C and occasionally 20C. Does this mean that maybe the building has an excess of insulation because of the default characteristics that I used? Is it a mistake to assume that Bogota can be classified as a 3C zone? Do anyone have experience simulating buildings in Colombia? I'm just trying to understand how the program works, so I'd really appreciate help with this.
