Why don't you run the examples in the ExampleFiles folder and find out.
Split unit has a fan coil unit in the zone. (usually cooling only.) Roof top unit can be an air- to-air, heat pump or split. Heat pump is not efficient as a heater in Winter at low temperature. It is mainly used for cooling.
