Are you able to attach the input file?  I can test it on mine...same setup...just for verification.

File 'eplusout.end' does not exist.

I use EnergyPlus 7.2 64-bit with default install parameters on Ubuntu 12.10.
When I run the same model on EnergyPlus 7.2 64-bit Windows version, the
simulation completes successfully.
Attached is the .err file.
