Just to add that it worked well with v7.1. Today I've upgraded my EnergyPlus installation and converted the file to v7.2.

I use EnergyPlus 7.2 64-bit with default install parameters on Ubuntu 12.10.
When I run the same model on EnergyPlus 7.2 64-bit Windows version, the
simulation completes successfully.
