how does it behave when one cuts a bunch of selected faces, create zone, activate zone and paste the selection into the zone wrapper?

And here are links to two videos on using imported plans and elevations to create an OpenStudio model.

In both cases if your architectural model is updated, you can re-import it and then adjust the energy model as necessary to reflect the changes.
