This will not be necessary- so long as your availability schedule is set to 0 (off) you do not need to set to 100 (and do not want to if you are looking to see your setpoints not met as a way to check your nat vent cooling effectiveness)

Is adaptive comfort warning what you are referring? Then I review the output for warnings on comfort related to the the meeting new algorithm of the latest revision for ASHRAE 55?

I am saying is that you might want to use the adaptive version of ASHRAE 55 setup in the people object.

Setting a higher setpoint for cooling is still not clear, although the availability by month is.

I am saying that it is likely that you could save energy if your cooling only comes on at higher setpoints, but at the price of comfort-- it depends on what you consider comfortable- ASHRAE 55 80% is more comfortable than many current buildings actually are... You might want to check out the software-- climate consultant, it reads EPW and can suggest how effictive mixed mode nat-vent will be for your location.

I have it off for the months of interest but still see that the setpoints are met exactly and surely the setbacks cannot be achieved like this without cooling effort.

Make sure that your cooling system is not using energy- then set your output varribles to check what is happening on the hourly levil, check zone temps, air flows, comfort calcs, setpoints not met ect. You might want to use D-View so that you can open three files at once-- make one file no cooling- one file mixed nat vent cooling and one all nat vent cooling. The open linked file feature allows you to view all of these factors at once and is very useful for model problem solving and design iteration.

Go to the object called  "Schedule compact" and locate your cooling availability schedule, change the 1 to a 0

Under zone HVAC Controls and Thermostats I have Zone Control Thermostats defined with object type Thermostat dual setpoint.

Then I have ThermostatSetpointDualSetpoint with HeatingSetpoint and CoolingSetPoint selected. I am not finding the cooling set point location. Am I doing this right? I searched in the expidf for coolingsetpoint in text editor.
