Ok thanks. Yes this IS where I set cooling as off originally. Not sure if I also need to put a high temperature like 100 or if this should have taken care of it. ?Is adaptive comfort warning what you are referring? Then I review the output for warnings on comfort related to the the meeting new algorithm of the latest revision for ASHRAE 55? Setting a higher setpoint for cooling is still not clear, although the availability by month is. I have it off for the months of interest but still see that the setpoints are met exactly and surely the setbacks cannot be achieved like this without cooling effort. Is this possibly the way it performs and should expected? Thanks,Carla
Sent from my iPhoneIn order to still see your setpoints not met for your chosen thermostat settings you will want to turn off your availability schedule.
- Figure out what your cooling availability schedule is named by going to your cooling plant and finding the availability schedule name.
- Go to the object called "Schedule compact" and locate your cooling availability schedule, change the 1 to a 0
You can also find your setpoints in the schedule compact object. You might also want to turn on ASHRAE 55 adaptive comfort in the people object, then report this to HTML and csv. This ASHRAE 55 adaptive comfort is for naturally ventilated spaces, and if you are doing mixed mode you might want to increase your cooling setpoints until you start getting large amounts of uncomfortable hours.

Is this the same as typing cntlL.Under zone HVAC Controls and Thermostats I have Zone Control Thermostats defined with object type Thermostat dual setpoint. Then I have ThermostatSetpointDualSetpoint with HeatingSetpoint and CoolingSetPoint selected. I am not finding the cooling set point location. Am I doing this right? I searched in the expidf for coolingsetpoint in text editor. Thanks for your help.Carla
Sent from my iPhoneolen itSet the cooling setpoint very high-- say 100C, or set your cooling availability schedule to 0. Either should still allow you to use the setpoints not met output to check your zone temps with reference to your set points.

How can you completely turn off cooling so that you can see setbacks be reached (or not) related to natural conditions?
