RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Direct evaporative cooler and EMS

Sorry, there is no actuator available for pad thickness in the native EnergyPlus cooler models.  The way to do this is to roll your own direct cooler model in EMS using a Coil:UserDefined object instead of an EvaporativeCooler:Direct object.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Direct evaporative cooler and EMS

New to forums in general, pardon me.

I'm simply trying to find out if direct pad thickness is available to use as an actuator.

I'm unsure which objects to add in order to output an .edd file to check, and how to fill in the required fields.

The end game will be to input measured data in the form of saturation effectiveness, as direct pad thickness, using the EMS feature. Thsi is possible, right? The goal is to obtain a calibrated model with actual cooler performance data for the run period, rather than a fixed thickness.

Thanks for reading!
