Hi Karen,Yes, below is the control type schedule and I have given the single heating and cooling set point schedule I used in my email below. These schedules apply to all zones.

Do you have a ZoneControl:Thermostat object? On Jan 21, 2013 10:46 AM, "Aber Alvi" <aberalvi@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:Another thing I notice in the sensible heat gain summary of the output report of the same file is that opaque surface conduction and other heat addition is zero for zones with surfaces exposed to the ambient. The exposed surfaces boundary condition type is outdoor and is exposed to the sun and wind. Any idea why this could be happening? Thanks,Aber

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Calculated cooling and heating load zero for all zones
Hi,I'm getting the following warning for all the zones while trying to model a building located in climate zone 1.** Warning ** Calculated design cooling load for zone=OS:THERMALZONE 7 is zero.** ~~~ ** Check Sizing:Zone and ZoneControl:Thermostat inputs.** Warning ** Calculated design heating load for zone=OS:THERMALZONE 7 is zero.** ~~~ ** Check Sizing:Zone and ZoneControl:Thermostat inputs.I've used the following single heating and single cooling setpoint schedule using SizingPeriod:WeatherFileConditionType.
Schedule:Compact,Htg-SetP-Sch, !- NameTemperature, !- Schedule Type Limits NameThrough: 12/31, !- Field 1For: WinterTypical, !- Field 2Until: 24:00, !- Field 321; !- Field 4For: SummerTypical, !- Field 5Until: 24:00, !- Field 611; !- Field 7For: AllOtherDays, !- Field 8Until: 24:00, !- Field 921; !- Field 10
Schedule:Compact,Clg-SetP-Sch, !- NameTemperature, !- Schedule Type Limits NameThrough: 12/31, !- Field 1For: SummerTypical, !- Field 2Until: 24:00, !- Field 323; !- Field 4For: WinterTypical, !- Field 5Until: 24:00, !- Field 650; !- Field 7For: AllOtherDays, !- Field 8Until: 24:00, !- Field 923; !- Field 10I have used ZoneInfiltration:DesignFlowRate for the infiltration of 1.024 l/s/m2 using flow/exteriorarea as the design flow rate calculation method. I have also checked the internal gain inputs and they don't seem to be too high or low. The lighting power is in line with ASHRAE 90.1 requirements, number of people is 0.04 person/m2 and equipment load is 2.7 W/m2.Any suggestions? Thanks,Aber
