[EnergyPlus_Support] Dynamic Photovoltaics



Hello,

Has anyone simulated a solar tracking PV array?

I am trying to help a student doing a research project and we are attempting to find a way to simulate this type of PV.

There are two procedures that I think could be attempted:

1.  Somehow use the EMS to move the surface the PV array is assigned to 

2. Create arrays for each possible position and run all simultaneously, then selectively post-process the results to include the maximum energy generation of each array at the given timestep. 

Does anyone know if method 1 is possible?

Suggestions on the implementation of method 2?
