I modelled a house with comfort controlled thermostat and ideal air system. Results for heating demand seemed plausible at first. Yet, when I change the design flow rate from 0.5 air changes per hour to 1 air change per hour, I get an unexpectedly high differential.
I would have assumed something in the order of ventilated volume * ac/h * specific heat capacity of air * degree hours, but my differences are nearly double what I'd expect from this approximation.
Does anyone have an idea how this magnitude of a difference comes about, or where I make a mistake in my model that leads to this outcome? All hints appreciated!
