[EnergyPlus_Support] phase change material and Energy Plus 8

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently involved into a project which involves the simulation of Change Phase Material. In order to simulate PCM into EP you need to provide the standard material description + the Entalpy vs. Temperature variation. My questions is the following:

EP should use as temperature dependant heat capacity DH/DT. So since I provide H and heat capacity separately is Energy plus using only H(T) function? I tryied to vary the value of Heat Capacity and I clearly see a strong influence but EP doesn't allow me to put the value to zero...So what is the correct value of the heat capacity?

What is EP doing:
-Heat Capacity eff= Heat Capacity + DH/DT?
OR
-Heat Capacity eff= DH/DT?

Thanks in advance for your support

Luca
