My grad students have run into independent situations where it would be incredibly useful to be able to store and access (on a time-step basis) numerical data in an array through EMS.
Examples applications:
- Generate a complex probability distribution of occupant behavior during the simulation
- Store weather forecasts and use this data for predictive controls
Using schedules won't suffice in this situation because we need to access future/past data; not just the present time step.
Does anyone know of any way to accomplish this, or alternatively, of any plans to develop this capability in EMS in future E+ releases? Matrix arithmetic functionality would be a bonus, but one step at a time :)
Best regards,
Liam O'Brien
