1) Can someone clarify how the new fenestration option is an improvement on the current version? The only thing I see off hand is that it supports multiple shading layers (which I assume can also change state?).
2) New daylight distribution? Do you mean the last two rows in Table 21. Daylighting Modeling Options?
3) Dynamic clothing model for People thermal comfort. Nice! Thank you.
4) Pre-calculated solar heat gains on inside faces of surfaces can be scheduled. What would be an application example?
5) Cross ventilation natural ventilation model improved. Nice! Thank you.
6) HVAC and Refrigeration. Great work. Much appreaciated. Question is if the thermal lag due to baseboard radiator mass has been considered for improvement / implementation and or if that would be sensable?
7) SetpointManager:SingleZone:OneStageCooling/Heating. This is a bold move. I've modelled like this in TrnSys and it is a numerical stability nightmare. Do-able, but problamatic. It will be interesting to see how this pans out. In my TrnSys model, I monitor the extract air stream temp coming back to the AHU which serves multiple zones. For DXcoils this is important, because turning the compressor on and off sporadically is bad, thus extending the band at least partially avoids this, together with ramping the exit coil setpoint temperature to maintain the exhaust temperature setpoint (at the detrement of part-load efficiency losses).
