[EnergyPlus_Support] RE: RE: Baseline and Proposed envelope model
check out A3.1.3.2 - 1. a.
depending on density and thickness you can get the fitting Assembly U-value. It is stated that this value includes the air film resistances for internal and external sides. This means you can deturmine the U-value without film coefficients, which lets you calculate the conduction coefficient k of the mass as R=k/L (solve for k). Then create your e+ wall with the said thickness and k, and let e+ worry about applying the correct film values. The correct physics are in place to meet the Standard 90.1 requirements.

Thanks for the reply,
For above-grade walls, it's a masonry wall (100% brick wall covered with concrete), so I think it qualifies as Mass. Standing in table A3.1A, there is a 'No Framing' row whose input is 'Rated R-Value of Insulation Alone'. As I said, we do not have insulation in our buildings, so I think the R-0 is the right choice. Now, I have three options depending on the density and type of the wall. I don't know which is correct ... In adittion, the three options say they are of 200 mm, however I have walls of different width. Please advice.
