Hello,
From http://www.commercial.carrier.com/commercial/hvac/carrier/0,,CLI1_DIV12_ETI12695,00.html,
Carrier's Heat pump can achieve EER of up to 31.5 for geothermal applications. Dividing this by the conversion factor of 3.412, your COP values are reasonable.
i have not gone as far as you yet, and i am only using EnergyPlus, My project is two 25m deep bore holes for a house in Victoria, Australia, which has an experiment at the uni. i was told i may get 6-7KW. Is this fair?
i have selected the smallest of Carrier's 50RTP model. It's capacity is 3 ton (about 10KW).and a COP (converted from the rated EER) of about 3.5. i have looked at this Water-to-Air because i am thinking of replacing the 30 year old central (natural) gas heater. Anyone has a better proposal :)?
regards, ooi
