Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Unexpected values for "Zone Thermal Comfort Operative Temperature"

I have never heard of using a setpoint manager with ideal loads.. I suggest you submit a help desk request- never know it could be a bug..

As I am only concerned with cooling, a ThermostatSetpoint:ThermalComfort:Fanger:SingleCooling is used which in turn references a schedule with a constant PMV value of +0.5 for the whole year. However, the simulation results show that cooling occurs even at very low operative temperatures. On close inspection I discovered that the reported values for Zone Thermal Comfort Operative Temperature are way below any comfort standard including the Fanger model selected for this simulation in the People object (values as low as 13C are reported). This would explain why cooling occurs even when operative temperatures are around 14C in January but does not explain why the Zone Thermal Comfort Operative Temperature values are very low in the first place. I have also checked the coincident values for Zone Thermostat Cooling Setpoint Temperature and found them to be within the expected range of temperatures that yield a PMV of +0.5.
